One thing we figured out at Hop DeVine a few years ago, was how much fun the community tables are. Being able to sit with people that you have never met and make new friends or randomly running into old friends was part of the community atmosphere we love. When we open back up we hope to try and keep some of that same atmosphere. The county has not given us guidelines yet which makes it difficult to plan, but we’ve been working with our good friend @aldenfaught from @simplyfonduelivermore who has been designing clear plexiglass barriers that will hopefully allow us to keep our Community tables and keep everyone safe. It’s a bit hard to see in the photo unless you look closely. We are hoping the Alameda County Health Department approves this idea, otherwise we will be forced to remove the tables for the rest of the year. These custom made barriers will let us sit parties of 4-6.
What’s this you ask? It’s our new QR code that Jody Amos made for us. He has been a vital part in helping us think outside the box. These QR code’s will be laminated and taped to every table. When you sit down all you have to do is scan them with your camera and our menu will come up on your phone or iPad. This will do two things: 1) It will stop the spread of Covid 19 through touching menus, 2) It will help the environment, as we will not be forced to use one time use paper menus that create more waste. #livermore#Eastbay#vasco#covid19#norcal
